‘I will bloody do it again’

DAVID MOYES jokingly compared himself to David Pleat after he danced on to the pitch to celebrate Everton’s equaliser at the death.

The Toffees boss roared he would “bloody do it again” after he was booked for the celebration and that he “might have done a knee slide” if he was more agile.

Pleat, 81, who managed Luton and Tottenham, once danced across the Maine Road pitch as a Raddy Antic goal relegated Manchester City and kept the Hatters up in 1983.

In the 97th minute Beto cancelled out Pascal Gross’ 73rd-minute strike at the Amex on Saturday.

Moyes said: “Imagine booking for celebrating? Who wants to see managers booked for celebrating. I wouldn’t have danced down if it [the goal] was in the 55th minute.

“They’ve [officials] got nothing about them at all, or know what football means. You cannot step out of that line in the dugout, it’s sad isn’t it. I’m still shaking my head.

“I bloody will do it again. If I was a bit more mobile I might have done a knee slide. I’d have still got a yellow.”

Meanwhile Fabian Hurzeler said Brighton will not “feel sorry for themselves” after conceding the suckerpunch equaliser.

The Seagulls have only won two Premier League games since November and in their last two games they have dropped points in stoppage time.

Hurzeler said: “I think in life you have two choices, you can feel sorry for yourself or you choose to go again.

“Through tough times you can build a tough personality, that’s what we try to do. We will go again.”

When asked about the frustration from fans, he said: “They can share their frustrations absolutely.

“I know it’s part of the football game, what I can promise is that I will give everything for this club.”
