Liverpool face losing MILLIONS if they sell Mo Salah as shockingly low transfer value is revealed

LIVERPOOL could think twice about allowing Mo Salah to leave during the winter transfer window – because his value has plummeted.

The Egyptian climbed off the bench and grabbed an assist when the reigning Premier League champions beat Brighton on Saturday.

Salah’s return to the matchday squad came after he hinted that a mid-season Anfield exit could be on the cards during a bombshell interview earlier this month.

And he may have already made his final appearance in a Liverpool shirt if he is sold in January because he has jetted off to the Africa Cup of Nations with Egypt.

But the Reds can only expect to pocket a shockingly low fee of £30million if they cash in next month, according to the CIES Football Observatory.

That would be a far cry from what they could have secured less than two-and-a-half years ago, when they rejected a £150m bid from Al-Ittihad.

It would also result in the Merseyside giants making a loss after spending £36.9m to sign him from Roma in 2017 – meaning they stand to lose millions.

Salah’s stunning drop in valuation will come as a serious blow for Liverpool after his future has been up in the air since his outburst.

Saudi Pro League chief executive Omar Mugharbel has already confirmed that the wide forward is a target in the Middle East.

But it remains to be seen whether Liverpool would be prepared to do business after Salah was given a chance to redeem himself against Brighton.

That came after he held positive showdown talks with boss Arne Slot, having been left out of the trip to Inter Milan last week.

Salah went on to find Hugo Ekitike for the French striker’s second goal of the clash on Saturday.

But the former Chelsea man is now poised to miss a cluster of vital games as Liverpool look to get their season back on track.

Salah’s involvement in the Africa Cup of Nations means that he is not expected to be back on Merseyside until 2026.

And Al-Hilal have already been threatening to launch a cut-price bid for his services.
