Who is Rob Edwards?

Rob Edwards was born to Welsh parents on Christmas Day 1982, in Telford, England.

The centre-back began his playing career with Aston Villa in the youth set-up in the late 90s, before making his debut in 2002.

Edwards made nine appearances for Villa in his two years there.

In summer 2004, Edwards joined Wolves, who were in the Championship at the time.

He spent four years at Molineux before moving on to Blackpool, Norwich City, Barnsley, Fleetwood and Shrewsbury , before he was forced to retire due to injury at the age of 30 in 2013.

After calling time on his playing career, he began coaching with the Wolves academy, eventually leading their Under-23s to promotion.

He also managed his hometown team Telford and worked with England’s youth teams before becoming head coach of Forest Green Rovers in May 2021.

There he won the League Two title and the EFL League Two Manager of the Season award.

He then had a brief period at Watford before managing Luton Town, guiding them to promotion to the Premier League.

He controversially quit Championship high-flyers Middlesbrough just months after joining in favour of the Wolves job in November 2025.

Who is Rob Edwards’ wife Kerry?

Edwards is married to his wife Kerry – but details about their wedding haven’t been reported.

The couple reside in the Midlands with their three children.

They have two daughters and a son, but prefer to keep them away from the spotlight.
