WEST HAM have added Norwich striker Josh Sargent to their list of January targets.
The Hammers are keen to add a centre-forward next month after a desperate first half of the Premier League season.
Sargent, who was a target for Wolfsburg in the summer, has scored six Championship goals for the struggling Canaries so far this season.
Norwich are thought to value the American international, 25, at around £15million.
The Hammers have been keeping tabs on Sargent, who was forced off with a knock during their midweek draw at Sheffield United.
Sargent, whose injury is not thought to be serious, is one of a number of players being considered to come in up top.

West Ham are prepared to back Nuno Espirito Santo in January, although may need sales to fund any additions.
German striker Niclas Fullkrug wants a January exit from the London Stadium having fallen further out of favour under Nuno.
A loan move back to his home country is the most likely destination for the failed £27.5m signing.
James Ward-Prowse is also available having been cast aside by Nuno.
Ward-Prowse started every Premier League game this season under Graham Potter but has not been named in a squad since Nuno arrived.
Multiple club sources insist there has been no falling out between player and manager, simply that it is a tactical decision by the former Nottingham Forest boss.
Ward-Prowse still trains with the first team on a daily basis, though his lack of matches means West Ham will struggle to get a respectable fee for the midfielder in January.
Former club Southampton, where Ward-Prowse spent 20 years, had expressed an interest in a loan deal but the terms needed for that to happen would not be attractive to West Ham.
