Hearn Predicts Joshua Will “Dissect” Jake Paul in Miami Fight

Promoter Eddie Hearn predicts that Anthony Joshua will be “dissecting” Jake Paul in their fight on December 19th at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida.

Hearn Predicts Total Breakdown

The way Matchroom promoter Hearn talks, former two-time heavyweight champion Joshua (28-4, 25 KOs) is going to reduce Paul to nine base elements to the human body in their eight-round headliner on Netflix.

Disney Star to Giant Slayer?

Hearn had a wild, crazy look in his eyes as he spoke about what Joshua would do to Paul on December 19th. He absolutely needs AJ to win, but also looks like pure gold in its natural, native form in this fight. With Jake being a former Disney star and YouTuber, it’s unfathomable that Joshua could lose or struggle to win.

“On Friday night in Miami, a very small matter of Anthony Joshua dissecting and breaking him to pieces, Jake Paul, in Miami,” said promoter Eddie Hearn to iFL TV, predicting a total annihilation of Jake Paul by heavyweight contender Anthony Joshua on December 19th.

Joshua’s Fragile Chin Question

It’s impossible to predict how Joshua will perform in this fight because he looked so utterly bad in his last fight against Daniel Dubois. That was over a year ago on September 21, 2024, and he looked ragged. Dubois, who has been flawed from the get-go as a pro, had an easy time, stopping Joshua four times before knocking him out in the fifth.

Whatever punch resistance Joshua once had in the early days of his career, it was gone in that fight. It was embarrassing to see how Dubous sent him to the canvas in the 1st, 3rd, 4th, and 5th rounds. With AJ having been out of the ring for 15 months, he couldn’t have gotten better.

Jake’s training team will likely have a good plan in place for him to go on the attack right away on December 19th, unloading everything in his arsenal, betting that AJ’s chin is still fragile from his last fight.

Since 2014, Olly Campbell has brought readers clear ringside perspective and a steady voice on boxing’s biggest nights.
