BRUNO FERNANDES stole the show as Manchester United returned to winning ways against an out-of-sorts Wolves.
The Red Devils skipper ended his barren run of goals by opening the scoring midway through the first half.
And United made their dominance count with three more unanswered goals in the second period – after Jean-Ricner Bellegarde gave Wolves hope when he levelled matters on the stroke of half-time.
Bryan Mbeumo notched his first goal since the draw with Tottenham last month and Mason Mount then got in on the act at Molineux.
Fernandes rounded off the scoring from the penalty spot after VAR intervened when Yerson Mosquera handled.
The three points allowed United to climb into the Premier League’s top six.

Senne Lammens – 5
Had one cross to deal with before the equaliser. Difficult to assess his overall performance because Wolves’ goal threat was negligible.
Noussair Mazraoui – 6
Was not put under any undue pressure by an attack that carried all the menace of a feather duster. Did what he had to and was assured enough in a makeshift backline.
Ayden Heaven – 6
Started at the heart of a back three due to the club’s injury issues at centre-half. One or two nervy moments but looked assured enough as Wolves wilted.
Luke Shaw – 7
Looked like he played in second gear for most of the game – mainly because he didn’t have to move into third. Glided through the game.
Amad Diallo – 6
Was unable to exert himself going forward. Had to keep an eye on David Moller Wolfe whose driving runs at least moved the hosts further up the pitch.
Casemiro – 6
One or two neat balls to feed the strikers but didn’t play with much urgency overall, although he provided a shield in front of the backline.
Bruno Fernandes – 8
Scored the first goal – albeit that it won’t win many awards – and provided a genuine moment of quality setting up Mount’s third. Added a late penalty. Seemed to enjoy himself.
Diogo Dalot – 7
Operating on the left behind Mount, the Portuguese made full use of Ki-Jana Hoever’s lack of form. Unselfishly set up Mbuemo for the second goal.
Bryan Mbuemo – 6
Looked sluggish until he scored the second goal but it was little surprise that he was on hand to receive Dalot’s pass to slide into an empty net.
Matheus Cunha – 6
Booed by the club he left last summer, the Brazilian looked the most likely to open up Wolves with a moment of skill. Influence waned as the game progressed.
Mason Mount – 6
Asked to play out on the left, he made the most of the chance that came his way, spotting his opportunity and converting after Fernandes’ delicious pass over the top.
