Watch Jamie Vardy’s incredible acrobatic celebration as Premier League legend scores first Serie A goal at 38

JAMIE VARDY is showing, with his celebrations as well as his goals, that he’s still got plenty left of juice left in the tank.

The 38-year-old marked his first Serie A strike with the kind of acrobatic display a sprightly young gymnast would be proud of.

Vardy lashed in a 78th-minute rebound to fire Cremonense ahead against Atalanta on Saturday.

And after wheeling away to celebrate in front of a raucous stand of home fans, he executed a picture perfect back handspring to backflip.

Cremonense stars mobbed Vardy to celebrate his first goal since embarking on a late-career jaunt to Italy.

Atalanta ended up equalising six minutes later as the game finished 1-1.

But Vardy will still be pleased to get off the mark after a Premier League career which saw him rack up 145 goals, leaving him 14th on the all-time list.

Vardy is thought to have made the unexpected move abroad after his wife, Rebekah, fell in love with the area while on holiday.

They have settled into a swish £2million pad not far from Lake Garda and been joined by their kids on their new adventure.

Vardy may be in the twilight of his career but he claims to be taking good care of his health and fitness, and retaining the hunger to win.

He said after Saturday’s draw: “I’m over the moon to get my first goal. But [after] taking the lead that late on, I’m a bit disappointed we didn’t get the three points. Still, it’s a step in the right direction.

“I feel great. I look after myself, make sure I do all the right recovery and [come in] as close to 100 per cent for each game as and when they come.

“If the manager wants me to play, then I’m all ready to go, and then that decision is up to the manager. I’m ready whenever.”

Cremonense are 10th in the table with 11 points from 10 games. And Vardy thinks they can keep pushing on.

He added: “At the end of the day, football is football, we just have to make sure we’re on it 100 per cent every week.

“It’s 11 against 11 every week, anyone can beat anyone, so as long as we’re fully on it, we know that we can pick up points no matter who we’re playing.”
