The former centre-back went on to amass 13 goals and one assist in 218 appearances during his eight-year stint with the first team at Stamford Bridge.

The Jamaica legend then underwent a nomadic career as he played for the likes of Leicester, Burnley, Huddersfield and Wrexham.

Frank’s son Tyrese Sinclair has been following in his father’s footsteps since 2019 when his senior career kicked off at Mansfield Town.

Tyrese, 24, underwent a number of loan stints at Radcliffe, Basford United and Scunthorpe United, during his three-year stint at Mansfield.

The winger then moved to Rochdale, who also loaned him out to Altrincham, before joining York City in 2024.

Now the forward has ended up at Solihull, on loan from York, and will stay with the National League side until January 3, 2026.

Tyrese’s new club announced: “Solihull Moors are delighted to announce the signing of attacker Tyrese Sinclair on loan from York City until January 3rd, 2026

“Everyone at Solihull Moors welcomes Tyrese to the club and wishes him every success during his loan spell.”

Frank is very happy with Tyrese’s move as he is confident that will help him regain his smile following a series of moves around the lower leagues.

The Chelsea hero tweeted: “Good luck son, wanna see that smile back on your face.”

A number of fans shared the former defender’s sentiment as they stormed social media.

One fan tweeted: “Good luck Tyrese!”

Another commented: “Quality signing.”

A third wrote: “He’s a great player – just needs that run of games.”

This fan said: “Hope he gets that confidence back.”

And that one posted: “Completely surprised tbh. Some talent and with the right management is top draw.”
