BLACKPOOL star Michael Ihiekwe was placed into a neck brace and stretchered off the field in concerning scenes.
Ihiekwe, 32, landed badly on his head and neck area in the 87th minute of Blackpool‘s clash with Wycombe.
The game was stopped for around 10 minutes while the Seasiders captain was treated.
Medical staff then took a safety first approach by placing the centre-back in a neck brace and onto a stretcher.
They then transported the defender off the field in worrying scenes.
Fans on social media wished Ihiekwe the best.

One said: “Hope he’s ok… best wishes.”
A second said: “Hope he recovers looked an awful fall.”
Another said: “I hope Ihiekwe is alright, was an almighty landing on his neck.”
Wycombe boss Michael Duff also sent his best wishes to his rival, saying: “It was a horrible one, the way he landed.
“We wish him all the best for a speedy recovery.
“He’s a competitor and a really good player.”
Co-interim Blackpool boss Stephen Dobbie told club media he had gone to check up on Ihiekwe, but revealed he was still being seen to by paramedics.
The added time from the injury concluded with Wycombe’s Jack Grimmer scoring a 102nd minute equaliser.
