‘I’m p***** off, everyone should be’ – Erling Haaland fumes after receiving MOTM award in X-rated interview

ERLING HAALAND was left furious after Manchester City dropped points to Monaco in the Champions League.

City were held to a 2-2 draw by the Ligue 1 side after Eric Dier scored a last-minute penalty.

Haaland scored both goals for the Premier League giants in the first half, with Jordan Teze netting one for Monaco in the 18th minute.

Man City maintained the lead for the majority of the game but a high boot from Nico Gonzalez – which hit the face of Dier in the box – resulted in a late spot-kick.

Pep Guardiola and Co were left furious after the game and star man Haaland did not hold back in his assessment.

He said: “I’m f****d off, I think everyone should be.

“It’s not good enough. Right now I don’t think too much of personal records. I’m just, as I said, f****d off.”

Haaland scored twice to take his Champions League record to 52 goals in 50 games.

He was handed the Player of the Match award as a result, but did not seem happy about it at full-time.

The striker explained: “I don’t feel good – we didn’t win.

“We did something unnecessarily in the second half. We didn’t play good enough, we didn’t deserve to win.

“We need more energy. We needed to get at them more like in the first half, they took the lead in the second half and I don’t think it’s good enough.

“I’ve not seen the penalty again but if you kick someone in the face it’s going to be a penalty.”

Meanwhile, Guardiola claimed that referee Jesús Gil Manzano made the wrong decision by giving the spot-kick.

He said: “It’s an unfair free-kick, we did not defend it perfectly but we conceded a penalty where we touched the ball first.

“He touched the opponent but he also touched the ball. There was no intention.”
