The highly anticipated trailer for Season 2 of the Netflix series “Starting 5” was released on Wednesday, featuring five of the NBA’s biggest stars.
Longtime NBA players Kevin Durant and James Harden join younger stars Jaylen Brown, Tyrese Haliburton and reigning league MVP and NBA champion Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. The series follows each player through the 2024-25 season and the journey of trying to win a championship.
The series follows Gilgeous-Alexander and the Oklahoma City Thunder on their journey through the season en route to winning his first league MVP, NBA title and Finals MVP. Fans will also see the underdog Indiana Pacers make an improbable run to Game 7 of the NBA Finals that no one could have predicted, only to have their hopes of a championship dashed as Haliburton suffered a devastating Achilles injury in Game 7.
Season 2 also features veteran NBA superstar Kevin Durant and how his season unfolded in Phoenix as the Suns struggled through his 17th year in the league, plus James Harden’s second season with the Los Angeles Clippers and all of the ups and downs, both on and off the court.
The series takes fans in-depth behind the scenes with the game’s biggest stars, with viewers seeing what makes them tick before and after games. The cameras catch all five players in some of their most candid moments during the season and get the real truth of what it’s like to walk in an NBA star’s shoes.
