Touring Car Rewind festivals to take place at Oulton Park and Brands Hatch in 2026

Touring Car Rewind festivals to take place at Oulton Park and Brands Hatch in 2026

Two new retro-themed touring car festivals will take place in Britain next year, with north and south editions of Touring Car Rewind being held at Oulton Park and Brands Hatch.

Circuit owner MotorSport Vision has teamed up with the Classic Touring Car Racing Club to promote the race meetings on 16 May and 1-2 August 2026. They will build on MSV’s successful Super Touring Power events, staged at Brands for the past three years, while expanding the focus to a broader spectrum of touring car racing.

“It’s become more and more apparent that we were swaying towards all touring cars, not just Super Tourers, and we wanted something to reflect that,” explained CTCRC chairman Stuart Caie, who confirmed that the club’s Super Tourers series, for iconic cars from the 1990s, will race at both events.

The CTCRC’s seven other categories will also be in action at each circuit. They range from Pre-’66 Touring Cars to Group A machinery of the 1980s and the outrageously modified cars that contest its Classic and Historic Thunder categories.

“There have been countless calls for us to bring the show to another part of the country, and that’s what we’re doing,” added Caie.

“I liked the old Leeds and Reading [music] festivals, I like the idea of doing north and south, so that’s what we’ve done.”

Other popular elements of Super Touring Power are expected to feature at the new events, including demonstrations, off-track displays and appearances from star drivers of the past.

MSV’s David Willey said: “The passion from fans and competitors for classic touring car racing is undeniable. The success of our three Super Touring Power events illustrated that perfectly, but if there was ever a complaint it was simply that there should be one in the north too!

“Well, we’ve listened, and we’re thrilled that this new incarnation of our co-production with the CTCRC will visit Oulton Park as well as Brands Hatch.

“Those of us working on these events are fans who appreciate the love that so many have for this sort of event, so we’re very excited about working with Stuart and the team again doing this twice in 2026!”

The two meetings form part of the CTCRC’s seven-round calendar, which will kick off on the Donington Park Grand Prix circuit on 21-22 March. An April trip to Cadwell Park and June’s Thruxton Retro festival also feature, before the season concludes at Snetterton and Silverstone.

The club has also been linked to a guest slot on the support bill of a major championship following its successful appearance alongside the British Touring Car Championship at Croft last year.
