Fans Rip Into Chris Eubank Jr. vs. Conor Benn 2 Undercard, Calling it “Awful” and “Trash”

The Chris Eubank Jr. vs. Conor Benn 2 undercard was revealed today, and fans on social media are criticizing it, labeling it an “awful card” for the DAZN PPV on November 15, 2025.

Fans Slam “Awful” Eubank-Benn 2 Undercard

Fans expected better, given that the event is priced at $24.99 in America and £19.95 in the UK.

People wanted to see a high-caliber undercard for the Eubank Jr.-Benn II ‘Unfinished Business’ event at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Tottenham in London, England.

It’s going to be a tough sell to get fans to purchase this event on PPV, as they’ve already seen Eubank Jr. (35-3, 25 KOs) soundly beat Benn (23-1, 14 KOs) by a 12-round unanimous decision earlier this year on April 26. Fans view the rematch as being solely about money.

Eubank Jr. vs. Benn 2 undercard

  • Jack Catterall vs Ekow Essuman
  • Adam Azim vs Zaur Abdullaev
  • Richard Riakporhe vs Tommy Welch
  • Sam Gilley vs Ishmael Davis
  • Mikie Tallon vs Fezan Shahid

What the card needs is to replace the bottom four fights with some solid ones involving top guys with talent, entertaining styles, and the ability to one day challenge for world titles.

Delighted to be chief support on this iconic card. Thankyou to @Turki_alalshikh @RiyadhSeason @ringmagazine @EddieHearn @MatchroomBoxing @mrsamjones88 for making this possible. pic.twitter.com/O2WOZhvaU1

Catterall-Essuman the Only Toss-Up

The event is targeted at British audiences rather than worldwide fans, as these are UK-based individuals. Welterweight Catterall (31-2, 13 KOs) is the recognizable name, going up against Essuman (22-1, 18 KOs) in a toss-up fight.

For the fans, you’ve got to hope that Catterall doesn’t fight defensively like he did against Harlem Eubank in his last fight earlier this year on July 5, or in his fights against Regis Prograis and Josh Taylor.

Catterall is now being trained by Derek ‘Bozy’ Ennis out of Philadelphia, trying to rebuild his career after his recent 12-round split decision defeat against Arnold Barboza Jr. on February 15, 2025. It’s doubtful that ‘Bozy’ will be able to do much with him to turn him into a world champion.

Social Media Labels Card “Garbage”

  • Weak undercard
  • Garbage
  • Lacking star power
  • Mismatched fights
  • No title bouts
  • Overpriced PPV
  • Missing big names
  • Trash

Many people were disappointed with the undercard of Canelo Alvarez vs. Terence Crawford on September 13th, which was equally poor and, in some ways, worse than this one.

Is this the new norm?

Could this be the way it’s going to be from now on for the Riyadh Season cards, with a main event and nothing but filler fights on the undercard? The loaded cards initially hooked fans, but now it’s back-to-back barebones support fights.
