WBA and WBO World Mini champ Oscar ‘Pupilo’ Collazo (14-0, 11 KOs) in a close fight, stopped Jayson Vayson (14-2-1, 8 KOs) in seven rounds on Saturday night at Fantasy Springs Casino, Indio, California. The contest was halted at 1:41 of round seven.
In the chief support, WBA, IBF, WBC, and WBO World flyweight champion ‘Sweet Poison’ Gabriela Fundora stopped Alexas Kubicki in seven rounds.
In the first round, with fifteen seconds remaining, Collazo dropped Vayson with a right forearm on the side of the head for an 8-count from referee Thomas Taylor. In the second round, Vayson came back well, landing a lead right on the chin of Collazo in a close round he won. In the third rounds final seconds a left from Collazo to the body hurt Vayson.
In the fourth and fifth rounds, Vayson had swelling under his left eye in two competitive rounds, which may have given him an edge. In the seventh round, Collazo landed well to the body when Vayson’s corner suddenly stopped the fight. Vayson had damage under his left eye at the end.
In the co-main event, southpaw WBA, IBF, WBC, WBO world flyweight champion ‘Sweet Poison’ Gabriela Fundora (17-0 (9) stopped ‘Iron Lady’ Alexas Kubicki (13-2 (2) at 0:43 of the seventh round of a scheduled 10×2 rounds.
In the first round, Fundora drew blood from the nose of Kubicki halfway through the round. In the second and third rounds, the much taller Fundora continues to outland Kubicki.
In the sixth round, Kubicki had swelling under her right eye, losing another round against 5’9″ Fundora. Between rounds, referee Ray Corona questioned how many punches Kubicki was taking. In the seventh round, Fundora continued landing punches when referee Corona had seen enough, calling a halt.
Flyweight Adriana Pineiro (9-1 (1) defeated Gloria Munguilla (8-2) by an eight-round unanimous decision.
The scores were 79-73, 79-73, and 80-72.

Light welterweight 2024 Olympian Ruslan Abdullaev (3-0 (1) out-punches late substitute Kevin Johnson (12-8 (8), winning an eight-round unanimous decision in a fight more competitive than the wide scores.
In the first four rounds, Abdullaev had an edge. In the fifth round, the taller Johnson won his first round, utilizing his reach to try to end his five-fight losing streak (59-3 overall record).

Junior middleweight Grant Flores (12-0 (9) dominated ‘The Kingpenn’ Courtney Pennington (17-10-3 (17), beating him by a one-sided eight-round unanimous decision.
In the second round’s final minute, it looked like a left hook to the body from the 20-year-old Flores dropped the 38-year-old Pennington, but Referee Ray Corona waved it off. In the fourth round’s final minute, Flores rocked Pennington with a short right to the chin, winning another round.
At the end of the sixth round, a frustrated Flores tosses Pennington to the canvas. A minute into the seventh round, Flores landed a flurry of punches, dropping Pennington for an 8-count. In the eighth and final rounds, in the final seconds, Flores landed a chopping right on the side of the head, almost dropping Pennington at the bell.
Scores 80-71, 80-71, and 79-72.
Middleweight Javid Ramirez Beltran (15-0 (7) defeated Brian Agustin Arregui (11-7 (7) by a six-round unanimous decision.
The scores were 60-54, 60-54, and 60-54.

Welterweight Joel Iriarte (9-0 (8) knocked out Eduardo Hernandez (8-5 (5) at 2:06 of the third round of a scheduled six rounds.
In the first round’s final seconds, Iriarte landed a left to the body, dropping Hernandez to a knee for an 8-count from referee Thomas Taylor. In the third round, Hernandez bounced back, able to hold his own, though losing another round.
In the third round’s final minute, Iriarte landed a left three times, starting in the body, then to the head. Hernandez hadn’t been stopped before.
