Champions League LIVE SCORES: Newcastle vs Barcelona on NOW plus latest updates from Man City vs Napoli

Second half begins – Man City 0-0 Napoli

Second half begins – Newcastle 0-0 Barcelona

Halftime Scores

Here are the scores so far.

Newcastle flew out of the traps but failed to cash in on their early chances, and it’s been all Barcelona since.

Over in Manchester, City are a man up after Napoli saw red in 20 minutes, but Pep’s men still haven’t made their dominance count.

  • Newcastle 0-0 Barcelona
  • Man City 0-0 Napoli
  • Frankfurt 3-1 Galatasaray
  • Sporting CP 1-0 Kairat Almaty

Goal – Jonathan Burkardt (Frankfurt)

Halftime – View of Gary Stonehouse from St James’ Park

It was a white-hot opening from the Magpies in front of a deafening Geordie crowd but the closest they came was through Harvey Barnes.

But the rapid tempo from the first 20 minutes was never going to last.

Barcelona grew into it as the half wore on, with Rashford and Raphinha looking the most likely to make something happen, but neither goalie has been made to work properly yet.

Stupid yellow card for Dan Burn right on half time, he’ll have to walk a tightrope now.

But it’s all-square at the break and the game remains on a knife-edge.

Halftime – Man City 0-0 Napoli
