Man Utd announce RECORD revenues of £666.5m but still made a loss despite cutting 300 jobs

MANCHESTER UNITED have announced record revenues of £666.5million – despite enduring a nightmare 2024-25 season.

The Red Devils endured their worst-ever Premier League campaign last term, finishing 15th in the table.

They also failed to win any silverware, leaving supporters furious.

However, the Premier League giants managed to turn over a huge £666.5m – the highest figure in the club’s history.

It is an increase of £4.7m on last year’s total.

A statement from Man Utd read: “Results demonstrate the enduring strength and resilience of the club, and the benefits of the difficult decisions taken to reduce an unsustainable cost base.”

The development is a positive amid a turbulent period for the club.

Minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe claimed in March that United were at risk of running out of money.

Since arriving last January, the British billionaire has introduced a series of cost-cutting measures in a bid to save cash.

The Red Devils now finally seem to be reaping the rewards.

Around 300 redundancies have been made behind the scenes, with cuts on food and staff perks also implemented.
