Champions League club to build stunning new £90million, 10,000-capacity stadium bordering Arctic Circle

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE outfit Bodo/Glimt have revealed plans to build a stunning new £90million stadium bordering the Arctic Circle.

The Norwegian club are flying high after winning four of the last five league titles while also becoming European regulars.

They are now set to take on the likes of Man City, Tottenham and Atletico Madrid in their first-ever Champions League group stage.

But Bodo/Glimt chiefs want to take advantage of the club’s recent upturn by building a stunning new stadium.

A total of 192 out of 193 members voted in favour of a new 10,000-seat arena to replace their current home ground.

Bodo/Glimt have been playing at the 8,000-capacity Aspmyra Stadion in 1966.

Yet those at the top feel the best way to drive the club into the future is by playing at a new stadium.

The massive project will cost a whopping £90m to complete.

And it’s reckoned Bodo/Glimt will be able to start playing there two years from now, with the stadium set to be called the Arctic Arena.

It certainly marks an exciting period in the club’s history.

2020’s title win saw them become the northern-most European club to win a national league competition.

And their presence inside the infamously cold Arctic Circle could help to attract more tourists to both the new stadium and the city of Bodo itself.

Incredible concept pictures of the planned arena were also revealed to members.

They revealed an incredibly modern stadium also retaining its links to the past home ground.

And with a Champions League debut on the horizon, supporters are sure to currently be in dreamland.
