Canelo vs. Crawford Stats, Records, and Numbers

Fight week in Vegas is in full swing, and the clock is ticking down to Canelo Alvarez vs Terence Crawford at Allegiant Stadium. The bout streams live on Netflix worldwide.

Times are yet to be locked in officially, but here’s the expected run-down: undercard kicks off around 8 pm ET, with the main event ringwalks pencilled in for 11:30 pm ET. As ever with these stadium nights, don’t be shocked if it runs a bit late.

Canelo vs Crawford Schedule and Fight Times

  • Date: Saturday, September 13

  • Undercard start: 8 pm ET / 5 pm PT / 1 am BST

  • Main event ringwalks (approx): 11:30 pm ET / 8:30 pm PT / 4:30 am BST (Sunday)

Fight card:

  • Canelo Alvarez vs Terence Crawford – Super middleweight, undisputed title

  • Callum Walsh vs Fernando Vargas Jr – Light middleweight

  • Christian Mbilli vs Lester Martínez – Super middleweight, WBC interim title

  • Mohammed Alakel vs John Ornelas – Lightweight

Venue: Allegiant Stadium, Las Vegas – home of the Raiders, built for noise, spectacle, and now boxing’s biggest fight of 2025.

How to Watch Canelo vs Crawford Live

Fight week events free on DAZN, UFC & Netflix:

  • Thurs, Sept 11 – Press Conference (6 pm PT / 9 pm ET / 2 am BST Fri)

  • Fri, Sept 12 – Weigh-In (6 pm PT / 9 pm ET / 2 am BST Sat)

Age, Rounds, and Wear

Canelo’s younger, but he’s been through double the mileage. Crawford’s the older man, but fresher — barely touched in a lot of his fights. Could come down to who handles the pace of 168 better.

Legacy on the Line

Between them? 21 world titles. Canelo’s got 11, Crawford 10.

If Crawford pulls this off, he’ll be the first to go undisputed in three divisions. Only Dingaan “The Rose” Thobela ever stretched from lightweight to super middleweight, but he never managed undisputed. Crawford’s trying to write himself in stone here.

Odds and Betting Picture

  • Canelo Alvarez: 4/7

  • Terence Crawford: 11/8

  • Draw: 15/1

Odds courtesy of DAZN Bet

Knockouts and Finishing Edge

Crawford’s the more ruthless finisher on paper. A 75.6% KO rate, 11 straight stoppages from 2016 through 2023, and scalps like Spence and Porter on his ledger. Since 2014, he’s been the first man to stop nine opponents.

Canelo? Different story lately. He hasn’t iced anyone since Caleb Plant in 2021. His KO rate’s solid at 61.9%, but he’s leaned more on control, accuracy, and experience. Still, ask Saunders or Kovalev how those body shots feel.

Durability and Defence

Neither lad’s ever been down, which says plenty.

Crawford’s defence is tight as you like — opponents land just 7.7 punches per round on him. Canelo’s built on sharp counters, with a 36.1% connect rate and a +12.8 punch differential. He doesn’t waste much, which is why he’s been so hard to outpoint.

Opponents Faced

Canelo’s last 10:

  • Opponents combined record: 288-9-2.

  • Names: Charlo, Munguia, Berlanga, Ryder, Golovkin, Smith, Saunders, Plant.

  • Only blemish: Dmitry Bivol in 2022, up at light-heavy.

Crawford’s last 10:

  • Opponents combined record: 258-12-5.

  • Names: Spence, Porter, Khan, Brook, Horn, Indongo.

  • Results: 10 wins, most by stoppage, barely a round lost.

On paper, Canelo’s faced the deeper list. But Crawford’s done the cleaner work, hardly giving judges anything to debate.

Key Numbers in Black and White

  • KO rate: Crawford 75.6% | Canelo 61.9%

  • Knockdowns: Neither has been down

  • Last 10 foes: Canelo’s 288-9-2 | Crawford’s 258-12-5

  • Rounds fought: Canelo 520 | Crawford 245

  • Titles won: 21 combined

  • Defence: Crawford allows 7.7 punches landed per round

  • Accuracy: Canelo lands 36.1% of shots

Amy’s Prediction

Canelo’s size and seasoned work at 168 make him the favourite. Crawford’s timing, finishing instinct, and confidence make him the live danger.

If Crawford wins, it shakes the sport to its core. If Canelo wins, it’s another day at the office.

I have Crawford winning via highly controversial decision.
