VIDEO: Canelo Alvarez vs Terence Crawford – Preview & Prediction

Coming up this Saturday on the 13th of September from Las Vegas, in a fight that will be available on Netflix, Terence Crawford is jumping up two weight classes to challenge the undisputed world super middleweight champion Canelo Alvarez. The super fight is literally right around the corner, and it is a very interesting match up.

Canelo is the most accomplished Mexican boxer competing today, and Bud is the most accomplished American boxer competing today. Both of these guys are 4-division world champions, both of them are elite pound-for-pound prizefighters, and both of them have been undisputed world champions in the modern 4-belt era.

The key component going into this one is size. The two may look to be approximately the same size at quick glance, but looks can be deceiving. Bud has only had one fight north of 147, and that was his last fight when he beat Israel Madrimov for the WBA junior middleweight championship. Bud had previously won titles at 135, and he was undisputed at both 140 and 147. But he never fought at 160, let alone 168, and he had just the one fight at 154. On the other hand, Canelo’s first championship happened at 154, and he has additionally won major world titles at 160, 175, and of course, 168 where he is the reigning king at super middleweight. So the big question in this one, is can Crawford deal with the size and strength and power of Canelo? If he can, we should be in for a great fight!

So who will win the upcoming mega bout showdown between Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford?

This edition of Rummy’s Corner will attempt to answer that question while also providing a quick preview of the upcoming undisputed super middleweight contest. Please watch and enjoy the video for one man’s opinion. This is Rummy’s Corner (produced and narrated by Geoffrey Ciani).
