The final 15 minutes of the first half was exactly what England fans have been craving.

A fast, dynamic front four repeatedly tore through Serbia’s defence on the counter, with the right-hand side proving especially dangerous.

Madueke, Rogers, and James have clearly been targeted as the key outlet, and the trio have been the standout performers so far.

Serbia manage to play their way into England’s final third, they get the shot off but it sails high over Pickford’s crossbar.

They are also singing songs about the president of Serbia – and they are not flattering.

The players are full of confidence now as they look to create more chances.

Serbia, however, do come down the left with their own attack, but after trying to play it into the box, it goes out for a goal kick.
