MARTIN ODEGAARD admitted he had “never seen anything like” Erling Haaland’s freak bus door injury – and was worried it could have been “ugly”.
Norway boss Ståle Solbakken revealed the Manchester City star required a check-up at the DENTIST as a result.
Haaland needed THREE stitches for a bleeding mouth after being smashed in the face by the door of the Norway team bus on international duty.
The shock incident occurred ahead of Tuesday’s World Cup qualifier against Moldova as the squad arrived at the team hotel in Oslo, with Haaland is still expected to feature.
Witnesses claim Haaland shouted “f**k” as he recoiled in pain before quickly being aided by Norway’s doctor Ola Sand and senior security advisor Geir Ellefsen.
Haaland later posted a selfie showing the wound, with some fans joking his compatriot and Arsenal skipper Odegaard was to blame.
When asked about the incident in a press conference, Odegaard explained: “I didn’t see it, but I heard he had a door in his face.
“It didn’t sound good, but it looks like he’s doing okay.”
On if it’s the most bizarre injury he has come across, Odegaard added: “It’s high up. I’ve never been in anything like it. It was good that it didn’t get worse.
“It could have been a little ugly, but it seems to be going well.”

Solbakken said: “I was in the dining room and didn’t get to see it. We just have to be happy. It could have actually gone badly, but it went well.
“He got some stitches and stopped some bleeding. He also went to the dentist, I think. There is nothing to fear about the match.”
