‘It will never happen’ – Bayern chief admits Nicolas Jackson will never trigger permanent transfer clause from Chelsea

NICOLAS JACKSON seems destined for a return to Chelsea after details of his loan at Bayern Munich were revealed by a club chief.

The Senegal international sealed a deadline day loan move to the Bundesliga champions after falling out of favour at Stamford Bridge.

Jackson, 24, almost saw the move collapse as the Blues attempted to cancel the deal following Liam Delap’s injury against Fulham.

Chelsea instead opted to recall Marc Guiu from Sunderland and allowed Jackson his exit.

But it seems that the striker’s return to England is only a matter of time.

Bayern Munich chief Uli Hoeneß has revealed that the option to trigger the permanent transfer of Jackson is not going to happen.

He admitted that for the former Villarreal to stay at the Allianz Arena, he would need to START 40 MATCHES this season.

He told Sport1 Dopa: “The player and his agent contribute for €3m (£2.6m), so we pay €13.5m (£11.71m) loan fee.

“There will definitely not be a permanent contract.

“That only happens if he plays 40 games from the start, it will never happen.”

Bayern are already two games into the Bundesliga season, with just 32 remaining due to the league only having 18 clubs.

Vincent Kompany’s side are also in the Champions League and DFB-Pokal, so there would be extra games for Jackson to start.

But the Belgian manager usually only starts with one striker and has no reason to drop the prolific Harry Kane at the moment.

The England captain has not stopped scoring since his move to Germany in 2023.

He has already scored 91 goals in just 100 appearances for Bayern and has three in the league already this season.

Whereas Jackson only scored 30 times in 81 appearances for Chelsea in all competitions.

The striker arrived at Bayern after the club missed out on top target Nick Woltmade who joined Newcastle.

Hoeneß said: “We’re very satisfied at FC Bayern. We are the real winners of the summer transfer window.

“We have a strong team and didn’t need to strengthen it much.

“We offered €55million (£47.7m) for Nick Woltemade, while Stuttgart wanted €75million (£65m).

“In the end, he went [to Newcastle] for €90m (£78m).

“What Newcastle are doing has nothing to do with football. It’s like Monopoly these days.”
