Does Daniel Levy own Tottenham Hotspur and what is his net worth?

DANIEL LEVY was chairman of Tottenham Hotspur – but he has shockingly stepped down from his role.

He was the longest-serving chairman of any Premier League club, having taken over the role from Alan Sugar in 2001.

However, he had a far from ideal relationship with fans owing to the club’s poor performances and lack of silverware, with the North London club last winning a trophy in 2008 when they lifted the League Cup.

Things were looking up during Mauricio Pochettino’s tenure with the club a regular name in the Champions League, even making the final before losing to Liverpool in 2019.

Levy oversaw the building of a brand-new, state-of-the-art, £1.2billion stadium, which has helped Spurs become a financial powerhouse.

However, poor performances on the pitch under Ange Postecoglou this season have left the club languishing in the bottom half of the Premier League table.

Does Daniel Levy own Tottenham?

Tottenham are controlled by ENIC International Limited, who own around 86.58 per cent of the club.

Levy and his family held a 29.4 per cent stake in ENIC, which made him a minority shareholder in the club, while the Joe Lewis family trust owns a controlling 70.6 per cent.

But Tottenham have announced that Daniel Levy has stepped down from his role as Executive Chairman after nearly 25 years at the helm.

The huge announcement on Thursday evening brings to an end a quarter of a century of his leadership at the club.

Tottenham is estimated to be worth around £2.42bn as of 2025, but the owners have set a sale valuation of £3.75bn.

They are also the richest club in London after making £520million (€615m) in revenue in 2024.

How much is Levy worth?

The boost in Tottenham’s value over the last decade has also seen Levy’s net worth increase.

The 63-year-old, originally from Essex, is estimated to be worth close to £400m on his own.

What does it mean for Tottenham’s ownership?

There will be no changes to the ownership or shareholder structure of the club, Tottenham have announced.

Daniel Levy said: “I am incredibly proud of the work I have done together with the executive team and all our employees. We have built this club into a global heavyweight competing at the highest level.

“More than that, we have built a community. I was lucky enough to work with some of the greatest people in this sport, from the team at Lilywhite House and Hotspur Way to all the players and managers over the years.

“I wish to thank all the fans that have supported me over the years. It hasn’t always been an easy journey but significant progress has been made. I will continue to support this club passionately.”
