Nicolas Jackson flying to Bayern Munich to seal huge loan after Euro giants tried to hijack deal for Chelsea outcast

NICOLAS JACKSON has been given permission to travel to Germany today to undergo his Bayern Munich medical before signing a loan deal, Sunsport can exclusively reveal.

The Senegalese striker had already agreed to personal terms with Bayern Munich last week, as Sunsport reported, but discussions lingered for a while before Chelsea agreed on a fee.

Jackson, 24, is expected to arrive in Germany around 2pm, where he will be whisked away to complete his medical.

He will now spend a season in Munich, where the club has managed to negotiate an option to buy, with a reported fee of around £65million.

Chelsea will also receive a fee of around £13m, but crucially, they did not secure the obligatory buy clause they would have preferred.

The loan fee is a record for Bayern, beating the £7m they paid for Coutinho from Liverpool.

Juventus attempted to snatch the player while discussions with Bayern were ongoing.

Jackson only wanted to play for Vincent Kompany, who first showed interest in while being manager of Anderlecht.

Jackson and his team will now fly to Germany today to undergo his medical before signing the deal.

The striker initially did not want to leave Chelsea and was ready to fight for his spot.

But it became clear he would be the third choice following the arrivals of both Liam Delap and Joao Pedro.

It was ultimately agreed that a move would be in the best interest of all parties.

Chelsea fans needn’t worry about losing Rio Ngumoha, there’s somone better on the way

Jackson will have a task to become a key man at Bayern as he will compete with Harry Kane for the striker position.

The England captain has shone since his arrival in Germany with 91 goals in 99 appearances in all competitions.

Chelsea will now have space and, crucially, can use his wages to invest in another player.

That player could be Alejandro Garnacho, who is closing in on a move from Manchester United.

The Argentine winger is expected to cost the club just £40m after the fee was agreed with the Red Devils.

He had been pushing for an exit after falling down the pecking order under boss Ruben Amorim.

He becomes United’s fourth-largest sale in their history, bettered only by the exits of Cristiano Ronaldo, Romelu Lukaku and Angel Di Maria.

Chelsea have also agreed to insert a 10 per cent sell-on fee clause in the deal.

Garnacho’s arrival will soften the blow of missing out on Xavi Simons to London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
