Major update on police’s investigation into £1million raid on Jack Grealish’s home as cops fail to find any suspects

THE police probe into a £1million raid on footballer Jack Grealish’s home has been closed — after failing to find any suspects.

Cops have no leads despite a “detailed investigation” into the break-in at his £5.6million property

A source said that Jack, and his girlfriend Sasha Attwood, both 29, were “devastated” that the probe had been dropped, with the gang “likely to get away with it”.

The criminals took jewellery and watches worth £1million in the December 2023 raid — as Jack played for Manchester City at Everton.

Sasha and ten members of his family were at the home.

She raised the alarm but they fled within minutes.

We previously told how police made “exhaustive” inquiries locally after the raid, but had drawn a blank.

The move to end the probe suggests it was the work of a professional foreign gang.

Jack’s mansion near Knutsford, Cheshire, is in a area targeted by burglary rings from Brazil, Mexico, Chile and Peru.

A source said yesterday: “Jack and Sasha realised a long time ago they might never be caught.

“But the fact police have officially closed the investigation is still devastating for them.

“It means the gang are likely to get away with it and could strike others.”

Jack Grealish has gone from eye-catching showman and heartthrob to miserable bench warmer – and I know who’s to blame

After the raid, Grealish — now on loan at Everton — said online: “This has been a traumatic experience for all of us, I’m just so grateful nobody was hurt.”

Cheshire Police said: “Following a detailed investigation by detectives, this case has now been closed with no suspects identified.

“Should any information come to light, then it will be reviewed by officers.”
