Eye-watering fee footie fans are being charged to enjoy kickabout with Man Utd legend Paul Scholes revealed

FANS are paying nearly £770 for a kickabout with Manchester United great Paul Scholes.

The Treble winner is taking part in a hour-long five-a-side game.

A squad of 15 players will make up the teams with subs every three minutes — meaning paying punters are unlikely to get a full match with their hero.

The event takes place on the rooftop pitch at Hotel Football in Manchester, owned by Scholes’ former United teammates Gary Neville and Ryan Giggs.

Tickets for the September 3 game cost £750 plus an £18.75 service fee — but are sold out.

They include a selfie with Scholes, 50, one autograph and a burger and fries.

A fan told The Sun: “Every United fan dreams of having a kickabout with their heroes but they will be hoping for ‘Fergie time’ so they get a bit longer on the pitch with Scholesy.”

Scholes played for the Red Devils for nearly 20 years up to 2013 and scored more than 150 goals.

A member of the famed Class of ’92, he won 11 Premier League titles, three FA Cups, two Champions Leagues, two League Cups, one Intercontinental Cup, and a FIFA Club World Cup.

He had a short stint as interim manager of Salford City, which he co-owned with Neville and Giggs until the club was bought out in 2025.

He now works as a pundit.

Event organiser Heroes & Legends was asked to comment.
