Harry Kane smashes 13-MINUTE hat-trick and sets special record as Bayern Munich thrash RB Leipzig in Bundesliga

HARRY KANE scored a 13-MINUTE hat-trick as Bayern Munich in their Bundesliga curtain-raiser.

The England striker finished off the rout of Leipzig after Michael Olise and Luis Diaz put the hosts in control.

Kane, 32, scored his first of the night at the Allianz Arena in the 64th minute.

He added two more in the next 13-MINUTES to make it three for himself and six for Bayern on the night.

The three goals also meant that Kane can now boast a special record for himself.

In the Bundesliga, Kane has played 64 times for Bayern and scored an astonishing 65 goals.

He has averaged more than a league goal a game for the club since his £104million move from Tottenham Hotspur.

Another note of his hat-trick is that it counted as a perfect hat-trick in Germany, as they all came in one half.

Kane was his usual measured self after the game as he opted to praise his team-mates, Olise and Diaz, rather than talk about his accolades.

He said: “I’ve had a year with Michael now and I feel like the relationship is getting stronger and stronger.

“The first half, he was outstanding, the goals he scored.

“And Lucho (Diaz), you know, its only been a few weeks but I feel we have an instant connection.

“He’s got a couple of assists there for me today (and) he finished his goal off really well.

“So great for those boys, great for the confidence.

“It’s a whole team that are working and it was a big performance.”

The 6-0 win has put Bayern top of the Bundesliga table and given them the perfect start for their title defence.

Kane added: “It was definitely a very good game.

“We wanted to make a statement from the start, getting to play first at home in the Bundesliga, and I think we did that.

“The performance from everyone – from back to front – was at a very high level, and we were clinical in front of goal.

“You can’t really complain with a 6-0 win. Now we’ll turn to the next job.

“At half-time, at 3-0, I said to myself I need to get on the scoresheet, so it was nice to add a few goals in the second half.”

Meanwhile, Bayern were without summer signing Tom Bischof.

The former Hoffenheim star has been ruled out indefinitely after he had to undergo surgery on his appendix.
