Tonight’s Live Results: Itauma vs. Whyte and Hrgovic vs. Adeleye – From Riyadh

Moses Itauma (12-0, 10 KOs) will put his unbeaten record hype at stake tonight against grizzled old veteran Dillian Whyte, in the 12-round fight, live on DAZN PPV at the ANB Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Ball Defends WBA Title Against Goodman

In the co-feature, WBA featherweight champion Nick Ball (22-0-1, 13 KOs) defends against Sam Goodman (20-0, 8 KOs) in a much-criticized fight that is viewed by fans as a complete mismatch.

Goodman was picked out for the job from the 122-lb division, has little punching power, and isn’t seen as a threat to Ball’s short reign as the WBA 126-lb champion. This kind of matchup has become the norm for Ball since he captured the WBA title in 2024.

Riyadh’s Fight Night on DAZN PPV

Tonight’s main card starts at 12:45 PM ET on DAZN PPV. The price is $49.99 in the U.S and £19.99 in the United Kingdom.

Tonight’s Running Order on DAZN PPV

  • Moses Itauma vs. Dillian Whyte
  • Nick Ball vs. Sam Goodman
  • Ray Ford vs. Abraham Nova
  • Filip Hrgovic vs. David Adeleye
  • Hayato Tsutsumi vs. Qais Ashfaq

The Eddie Hearn-promoted super featherweight contender Ray Ford (17-1-1, 8 KOs) fights substitute opponent Abraham Nova (24-3-1, 17 KOs) in a 10-round fight. This fight could be a lot more competitive than boxing fans believe. Nova should have only one loss on his record, but has been on the receiving end of three questionable decisions during his career.

Filip Hrgovic vs. David Adeleye Clash

The fight that should be the chief support on tonight’s event, if not the main event, is heavyweight contenders Filip Hrgovic (18-1, 14 KOs) and David Adeleye (14-1, 13 KOs).

These have created more buzz in the build-up with their back-and-forth comments than any of the fights. They’ve consistently upstaged the Itauma-Whyte headliner during the press conferences. Turki Alalshikh made a mistake in the running order for this card.

Still green Itauma, 20, is being given a step up in competition by his promoters at Queensberry against the 37-year-old Whyte (31-3, 21 KOs). If Moses falls apart against Dillian tonight, his promoters are going to receive a lot of criticism from fans for giving him such a big step up after the 12 cupcakes they had matched him against since he turned pro two years ago.

Moses Itauma’s Weight Cut and Career Low

Itauma weighed in at a slender 235 lbs last Friday, which was 18.5 lbs lighter than his previous weight of 254 pounds against little-known 41-year-old Mike Balogun last May. The two-year professional, Itauma’s weight is a career low for him. Interestingly, Itaums still looked like he was carrying an extra 10 lbs on his frame that could still be shed.

Itauma’s true weight with the fat off is around 225 lbs. That’s not bad for a 6’4″ heavyweight that depends on his hand speed, power, and movement to win fights. But against the bigger fighters in the division that can handle his shots, he might be too light.

Moses had been criticized by fans for looking chubby in his fights, and looked like he worked hard to take the weight off for this one against Dillian. Still, that may not be enough if he can’t handle the power of Whyte, who is one of the hardest punchers in the division with an experience advantage.
