Itauma – Whyte and Hrgovic – Adeleye – DAZN PPV Official Weigh-in Results

Dillian Whyte came in at the lightest weight today since 2015 for his fight against heavy favorite Moses Itauma at the weigh-in for their 12-round main event fight this Saturday, August 16th, at the ANB Arena in Riyadh.

During the face off, the lean-looking Whyte (31-3, 21 KOs) stared down the 20-year-old Itauma (12-0, 12 KOs). The look by Dillian was a letter of intent by him of the harm he plans on inflicting on the heavily hyped, unproven prospect.

Weight-in results

  • Moses Itauma 145.5 vs. Dillian Whyte 244 5
  • David Adeleye 240.5 vs. Filip Hrgovic – 241.9
  • Sam Goodman 125.1 vs. Nick Ball 126

You could tell that Whyte was still angry about being punked by Itauma during yesterday’s face-off at the final press conference. Itauma had ordered Dillian to take off his sunglasses because he wanted to see if he was a “Wolf or a sheep.” He was questioning Whyte’s manhood with that comment.

‘Wounded Animal’ Weighs in

“He told me to take my glasses off. Today, I had no glasses,” said Whyte at today’s weigh-in, discussing what had been told to him by Itauma during yesterday’s face-off.

Whyte didn’t take his sunglasses off yesterday, but today, he didn’t bring them with him. That was a good thing because he had shown the much younger Itauma that he was intimidated by his presence. It was too late for Dillian to undo the perception of fear he’d shown in yesterday’s face-off.

Itauma Sums Up Whyte

“A wounded animal. Come on, a Moses Itauma victory. Itauma is in town,” said Itauma when asked what he saw in the eyes of Dillian Whyte during today’s face-off.

What Itauma means by his comment is that Whyte had a chip on his shoulder today due to what happened yesterday. So, he was trying to prove himself as not being afraid. Moses summed him up pretty well with that remark. Whyte had been humiliated yesterday. So, he wanted to feign that he wasn’t afraid. Again, it was too late.
