Tyson Fury Mocks Andre Ward Over Anthony Joshua Call-Out

Tyson Fury Mocks Andre Ward Over Anthony Joshua Call-Out

Andre Ward’s been out of the ring for seven years, but apparently that’s no barrier to calling out Anthony Joshua. The 41-year-old former two-division world champion told the world he’d come back for one fight — and only if it was AJ, in front of a packed Wembley Stadium. Ward called it “dangerous for my legacy” but claimed it’s the kind of challenge that would get him back in the gym and ready for war.

Over the last few months, Joshua’s name has been flying out of more mouths than a boxing press conference buffet — Jake Paul, Ward, and half the sport’s big names have all had a go. But Tyson Fury wasn’t having it. The ‘Gypsy King’ jumped straight on Instagram and fired, “Jokes how many people wanting AJ now. Who next? The winner of Canelo vs Crawford?”

Fury Keeps the Spotlight on Joshua Rivalry

Fury and Joshua have been at verbal war for years, with fans still waiting on that all-British showdown. Turki Alalshikh claims it’s still on the cards for Riyadh Season 2026, boasting that Fury has given his word to return. But for now, Fury’s more interested in mocking the feeding frenzy around Joshua than confirming his own fight plans.

Even while rumours swirl of trilogies with Usyk or retirement announcements, Fury’s comments make it clear — he sees himself as the only Joshua fight that really matters. The rest? Just background noise.

AJ Call-Outs Keep Coming, and Fury Keeps Swinging

Alalshikh has said both men would need tune-up fights before meeting, but every new call-out just keeps Fury’s name in the same sentence as AJ’s. Frank Warren’s hinted the retirement talk might be over, with discussions already underway for Fury’s return. Whether it’s Usyk, Joshua, or another high-profile dance partner, the ‘Gypsy King’ is making sure the narrative stays on his terms — and his rivals know it.
