A FORMER Manchester United star has appealed for help after his car filled with valuable belongings was stolen while he moved house.
Demetri Mitchell’s brand new BMW was nicked after thieves broke into his home and stole his car keys last night.
The 28-year-old had been moving his possessions from Manchester to Essex following his summer move to Leyton Orient.
He claims that his BMW 220, which retails from around £40,000, was filled with luxury items including a laptop, phone and Louis Vuitton bags.
Crooks made their way into the property, nabbed his car keys and then drove off with the vehicle, he said.
The former Red Devils player, who appeared just once for the club, explained that he was asleep during the burglary.

Writing on X this morning, he said: “Just been burgled last night in Essex.
“(They) came in robbed my car keys and had a lot of valuables in the car as I was moving my things from Manchester last night.
“Car robbed last night along with laptop, phone, ice machine, LV duffle bag, LV ruck sack.
“You man are nuts but you can’t take it with you just got to make it back thank god I wasn’t hurt.
“Mad to think someone was actually in my house stealing things when I was sleeping last night.”
Sharing information about his car, he called on anyone who might have seen the grey BMW to get in touch.
The ex-Blackpool, Hearts and Exeter City defender also claimed that his laptop had crucial “business documents” on it when it was nicked.
He added: “At least the car thief’s had courtesy dropped off my ice machine and Suitcase at someone’s house down the road cheers lads.
“Wouldn’t mind getting the laptop back a lot of business documents I need on there if possible lads, can keep the rest.”
Mitchell came through the ranks at Man Utd and won the Denzil Haroun Reserve Player of the Year award in 2018.
The versatile left-back and winger made one senior appearance for United versus Crystal Palace in 2017.
He was handed the chance by then-manager Jose Mourinho.
He then had two loan spells at Hearts before joining Blackpool on a permanent deal following the expiry of his contract at Old Trafford.
Following stints at Hibernian and Exeter City, he then joined Leyton Orient in June.
In 2023, the outspoken footballer hit out at the Conservative government after Rishi Sunak pledged to ban the XL-Bully breed.
The then-Prime Minister vowed to outlaw the breed following a spate of horrifying attacks.
To which Mitchell replied he would be “going into hiding” with his pooch, Zico.
He shared snaps and videos of his tanned hound in an attempt to show it was well-behaved.
And following the PM’s announcement, Mitchell said: “Guess we’re going into hiding Zico.”
Mitchell becomes the latest in a long line of footballers who have suffered at the hands of brazen thieves.
Just days ago, Tammy Abraham blasted “low life” burglars who broke into his London home and took off with valuables.
The England star shared shocking footage of the heist at his home in the capital.
Abraham, 27, now plies his trade in Turkey with Besiktas after moving there on loan from Italian outfit AS Roma.
Posting on his Instagram story, the former Chelsea man shared CCTV footage of the incident.
Abraham captioned the video: “A bunch of low lifes came to burgle my home couple days ago and took some valuables.
“Thank God my family are all OK.
“If anyone knows or heard any info, please let me know. I will find out soon.”
