6 Million Tune In To Watch Taylor vs. Serrano 3

New York – Katie Taylor (25-1, 6 KOs) at 39 years old, outboxed the younger Amanda Serrano  (47-4-1, 31 KOs) by utilizing her superb footwork to control the distance and range. Serrano was not able to land consistently, appearing tentative and cautious in exchanges.

The cut she suffered in the second match appears to have led to her drastic change in strategy. She stated in Wednesday’s press conference that she intended to fight smarter. Meaning to avoid a repeat of head clashing and minimize the damage sustained. However, her tentative and cautious approach favored Taylor. A slow and methodical pace is suited for the boxer. Taylor reiterated this view at the post-fight press conference, stating the slow pace suited her. Katie struggles with fast-paced, high-pressure volume attacks, which is why the first two matches were close.

Output decreased significantly for both boxers in this match, having thrown the fewest punches individually and combined of all the trilogy fights. Taylor threw 231, landed 70 total punches, while Serrano threw 382 and landed the same amount as Taylor, 70 punches. Katie was very

effective, landing 41.6 percent of her power punches (Compubox). At the post-fight press  conference, Eddie Hearn stated that it appeared as though Katie turned back the clock. Looking like a younger version of herself, she outboxed one of the best women boxers in Serrano.

Katie convincingly defeated Serrano in this match, closing the chapter on what was a historic trilogy. Most Valuable Promotions reported Taylor-Serrano 3 as the most-watched women’s sporting event of 2025, reaching nearly 6 million viewers worldwide. The event is listed as number one in Netflix viewership in the United States, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand. It ranked in the top ten in Netflix viewership in 43 countries. The event itself did well, in front of a sold-out crowd of 19,721 at Madison Square Garden. Generating a gate of $2.63 million, the highest gate ever for a women’s boxing card.

In the co-main event, Alycia Baumgardner defeated Jennifer Miranda by unanimous decision.  Alycia stated at the presser that Miranda was a more difficult opponent than expected. She boxed intelligently and was able to capture the victory. Baumgardner appears poised to become women’s boxing’s next superstar. She’s eyeing a move up to the 135-pound division and already  called out Taylor via X (Twitter), “I want Katie.” This could create another mega card with  Taylor-Baumgardner headlining the event. Shadasia Green was victorious in her unification match against Savannah Marshall. A close back-and-forth match that saw Shadasia earn a tough split decision victory. Shadasia shared at the presser that Marshall told her that she hits harder

than Claressa Shields and, in her opinion, she would take her out. Green wants to fight Shields and hopes to fight her soon.
