2025 German Grand Prix review

2025 German Grand Prix review

Marc Marquez took his fourth consecutive double victory and seventh in the 2025 MotoGP campaign, which leaves him with an 83-point lead in the championship after the German Grand Prix.

Dre Harrison, Richard Asher and Oriol Puigdemont therefore break down why Marquez is still “cruising” at this level, including his 7s victory in Sunday’s grand prix at the Sachsenring

The German Grand Prix was also a race of extreme attrition. By the time it began, the grid was down to 18 starters with Maverick Vinales and Franco Morbidelli out via injury, while Enea Bastianini suffered a bout of appendicitis.

To make matters worse, only 10 riders finished the race, which is the lowest number for a MotoGP race since Australia 2011. Why? Six crashes at Turn 1, one of the trickiest corners on the calendar.

There’s also reaction to the news that the Jorge Martin contract dispute is seemingly over, with the reigning champion set to stay at Aprilia and announce said news at a press conference before the next race.

Oriol explains how a protracted court battle and the Assen speech made by Carmelo Ezepelta left Martin virtually no choice but to concede in his fight against Aprilia.
